I am blessed/cursed with a keen sense of smell and as we walked through Catania I was bombarded with the many smells of a big city However, alongside the smell of cars and garbage there was this wonderfully sweet floral scent that caught me by surprise. As we walked around I would catch a small whiff and search around for the source (I was channeling the beloved labs and air-scenting). At last in a small square near the Monastero dei Benedettini I found the source – orange blossoms! There was about 5 trees in a row and their blossoms where in the final stages. As i stood under them I closed my eyes and let my nose take over. We are in Sicily.
