Prague with your parents

Travelling with your parents as an adult can be an interesting experience. Back 2015 we decided that we needed to show them our type of travel and ease some parental worries that had cropped up from time to time. We decided on a few key places in Italy and had a wonderful time. This time, we only travelled with my parents. My mother was celebrating a milestone birthday and since we were already in Europe it worked out well for all. They joined us in Prague and then continued with us through Germany and then to Sweden to visit Henrik’s family in the South. With all of us settled in Skåne, we would spend a number of days relaxing and then all 10 of us went North to Stockholm for a few days before my parents flew back to Canada. My mother was excited to visit Prague. Friends had been years before and she had wanted to see the beautiful city for herself. My father was interested in the history… and of course the spectacular beer. As we knew they would be travel weary, Henrik and I arrived the day before so that we could do some grocery shopping and meet them at the airport.

After a few quiet days to rid my parents of most of the jet-lag, we explored Prague Castle, the Jewish Quarter and just wandered around the beautiful city. It rained a little bit while we were there but all in all it was a great visit to this vibrant city. We took the ReggioJet Bus onto Berlin. The coach and service truly impressed my retired-bus-driver father.
