It was way more than just fish! The sites, sounds and smells were amazing. We were serenaded by the vendors and surrounded by the unmistakable aroma of freshly caught fish, produce and pungent odor of Italian cheeses.
After an once around the marketplace, Henrik’s months of online Rocket Italian was put to the test as we purchased food for our lunch and dinner. We bought from a bunch of different vendors and sampled some amazing cheese.
As the morning wore on, the crowds increased and we were soon joined by many locals and tourists. It was time to head back. Loaded down with many bags and a huge sense of accomplishment it was difficult to keep the silly grins from our faces. Time to get cooking!
