It has been some time since our last post. For our sanity, we needed to step away from the blog for a while and not think about travelling. We needed some grounding activities and we turned to our other love of dogs to bring us back into a stationary lifestyle.

Henrik and I returned home to Vancouver back in July and immediately got back into looking after another PADS (Pacific Assistance Dog). We were given an 11 month old Golden Retriever named Peach (of the shades of yellow litter) as she needed a new home.
We immediately fell in love with this little golden girl and started working hard to help her overcome a long list of issues; that for the first few weeks almost overwhelmed us. We asked for help from the PADS training staff and have been trying out different techniques to help this little girl overcome her fears and start to engage with her person.
It has been a difficult couple of months for us, testing our patience and dog training skills. We have had great successes and a few set backs, but we hope that we can continue to help her grow into a wonderful service dog that we all know is in there.

We will be travelling again tin May of 2018. I am planning our adventure through Poland, Hungary, Romania… and many other places.
