We have wanted to visit the Cinque Terre for some time now; these five communities perched on the mountain side on the Mediterranean Sea called to us with their traffic free areas and ocean breezes. It was not our original intent to hike to all five towns in one day; we thought as we were here for a week we could do two to three the first day and then the rest another day. But after finding a Youtube video of a couple (yes they looked a few years younger than us) that managed it in one day we thought we would give it a shot. Henrik’s post is much more detailed than mine plus he took a lot more pictures… why you ask? Well because I was focused on not falling off the f#*king cliff!!

The Cinque Terre (North to South):
Monterosso al Mare
Vernazza
Corniglia
Manarola
Riomaggiore
